Capita partners with Fujitsu to continue delivery of HR services to the Northern Ireland Civil Service
Capita today announces it has signed a contract extension with Fujitsu to continue to partner and deliver HR and payroll solutions to the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS).
Capita and Fujitsu have been partnering to deliver an end to end, fully managed solution for the provision of payroll and HR services to NICS, for 15 years, servicing over 23,000 employees.
Under the new contract, Capita will provide HR query management, payroll, recruitment, and HR Advisory services. This involves managing front line queries received via multiple channels, including assisting employees and managers to use self-service facilities. Capita also receive, investigate, and respond to employee queries, issues and complaints that require additional support, including technical HR advisory queries relating to grievance, performance management and disciplinary matters.
The work will continue to be carried out by a team of over 100 people based in Belfast, who are skilled in dealing with a range of complex issues. On average, Capita and Fujitsu recruit over 2,000 people and answer over 90,000 calls a year on behalf of NICS.
Fujitsu will continue to be responsible for the technology, IT hardware and software involved in the solution, including the Oracle HR platform.
The extension commenced 1 April 2021 and is worth £30m over four years. There is then the option for an additional one-year plus one-year extension worth an additional £15m.
